About the Team

The Weyburn Beavers are proud members of the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL), competing in the East Division and representing the City of Weyburn since joining the league in 2002. As the smallest franchise in the WCBL, we embody the values of hard work, community pride, and grassroots baseball.

The WCBL is one of Canada’s premier collegiate summer baseball leagues, featuring top student-athletes from across North America. Players must maintain college eligibility, be 25 years of age or younger, and be listed on a current college roster. The league has become a proven pathway to professional baseball, with numerous alumni going on to be selected in the MLB Draft and pursue professional careers.

The Weyburn Beavers operate as a non-profit organization, driven almost entirely by the dedication of volunteers who contribute countless hours behind the scenes. From game-day operations and fundraising to hosting players and maintaining facilities, our organization is built on the passion and commitment of community members who believe in bringing high-quality baseball to Southeast Saskatchewan.

The success of the Beavers depends on the incredible support of our fans, sponsors, billet families, volunteers, and local businesses. Their investment allows us to provide a first-class experience for players while delivering exciting summer entertainment for families throughout the region.

More than just a baseball team, the Weyburn Beavers are a community organization dedicated to developing athletes, creating memories, and inspiring the next generation of baseball players and fans. Every summer, we proudly wear Weyburn across our chest and compete with the belief that a small community can achieve big things.
